ABOUT THE INN:

This privately owned inn, The Olde Savannah Inn is located two blocks from the majestic Forsthye Park and is recognized as the most elegant and distinguished inn in Savannah. This gracious and impeccable inn is surrounded by historic homes and prestigious Inns. The Olde Savannah Inn caters to those individuals "echoing the sentiment of a warm welcome." This inn specializes in small wedding parties, weekend getaways, corporate travelers, and those people who are looking for the ultimate in luxury.

The European Reproductions and antiques resonate the classical unmistakable French splashes of the 18th an early 19th century's. The Beacon Hill windows woven in French romantic silk demand the presence of a timeless elegance. Upon entering the grand parlor, you are greeted by the warm glow from the marble fireplace echoing the sentiment of a warm welcome.

The Grand Parlor is situated in the main house overlooking Gaston St, one of the oldest and most prominent streets in Historic Savannah. This stately home is filled with imposing architectural structures and a collection of ornate details to honor the dignity and Grace of "The Old South". The 18th century Grand piano with its brilliant gold strings imported and refurbished from London is a spectacular addition to this exquisite showcase.  We have the honor of presenting Miss Diana Rogers, our pianist, who has made several appearances locally and nationally. Diana is outrageous and delightful and she attracts a crowd no matter where she goes. You will absolutely love her! She will be singing and playing some of her favorites during our wine reception between 4:30-6:00. We will be serving your choice of either tea, chilled lemonade, beer, or our finest selection of wines.

Regal imported matching crystal chandeliers reflect a symphony of light that majestically embraces the formal Parlor and Dinning Room as a main focal point. The outstanding guild 18th century mirror introduces a dramatic effect of light and illusion. The original plaster medallions grace the southern blue ceilings that make their intrusion a grand entrance into a premier attraction.

The Formal Dining Room is sumptuously decorated in French glamour uniquely set up as a grand court enticing our early morning risers to savor the four course gourmet breakfast.

Opposite the Dinning Room is the sun-filled library. Top to bottom custom designed book shelves, these prized possessions, adding to the collection of a quintessential resting place for those advent readers. We have a 60" plasma television for those sport fans who want to sit back, kick up their heels, and enjoy the comforts of home. The King and Queen Henry Vlll chairs applaud this room to its finest detail.

The main foyer displays a showcase of Thomas Kinkade's timeless Masterpieces sharing with us the light that is in all of us. The sweeping grand staircase evokes sentiments of the French Renaissance Period. We have also added one of our famous local artist's collection, Wayne Chambers who specializes in delightful water colors, capturing some of the most Historic Sites in Savannah.

Beyond the arched brick arbor is a private garden replicating a Tuscany waterfall fountain and a brick pathway leading to an intimate setting of bistro patio table settings for those who are seeking the highest outdoor ambience.

The exquisite courtyard is the ideal setting for that quaint perfect wedding or couple who is looking for that significant moment. There will also be table settings for two on the veranda for those who want to get away from it all and savor the gracious surroundings of beautiful Savannah.
